September 7 – September 10
Last week was a very busy week for the kids! We
started our Mother Goose Time program, which means that
we had a little less “play” time and a little more
“work” time.
We did some more activities on the white board last
week, and hopefully this week we will be able to start
using the clickers to play some really fun games!
SCHOLASTIC BOOK CLUB
If you ordered from the Scholastic Book Club for the
month of September, your order should be in sometime
next week. I will send the books home with your child
when they come.
PICTURE DAY
Picture day is this Wednesday, September 8. An order
form was sent home last week. Please make sure that you
return your completed picture order form by Wednesday
morning.
FIELD TRIP
We will be taking a field trip to the Belleville
Public Library on Tuesday, September 21. Since the
library is so close to school, we will be walking for
this field trip. Because of the amount of children that
will be going on the field trip and the fact that we
will be walking, I am asking for parent volunteers to go
with us. If you are available to join us please let me
know. The field trip permission slip along with some
addition information will be going home this week.
Curriculum Goals
for the week of September 7:
Reading:
We will be reading a story about “A Scary Giant”. The
letter T will be introduced, and we will begin reading
our “I Can Read” book.
Language:
We will continue working
on our Spanish words this week.
Science:
During science this
week, we will discuss recycling.
Math:
We will be making a pattern during math this week using
pictures of a green apple and a sun.
Art:
We will be making a
Peek-a-boo Surprise this week, when we talk about “what
makes me surprised”.
Religion:
During religion this week,
we will be talking about how Jesus is the Good Shepherd
and we are his “sheep”
