Summer Office Hours - 9:00 a.m. - - 2:00 p.m.  The School Office will be open through June 11th.

Congratulations to our Class of 2010 Graduates!

Dear Dr. Kay Bennett,

Congratulations on a wonderful school year at CATHEDRAL OF ST PETER SCHOOL!  According to your Accelerated Reader Real Time data, your students using AR read an average of 413080 words each, and have taken an average of  17 quizzes each, making your school stand out on a national level for its impressive achievement in student reading practice. You should be very proud.

It’s clear your school has made a commitment to the importance of reading practice—a vital building block for students’ overall academic achievement. It’s this kind of performance and dedication we’ll be looking for when we evaluate schools and districts this fall for our national reading achievement awards, such as our What Kids Are Reading Award!

Educators thank us all the time for developing Accelerated Reader, but it’s really your dedicated teachers and you who make it work. I encourage you to forward this information to your district and the community to let them know about your wonderful news.

Best of luck for continued success with your AR program.

Sincerely,

Toni Cammack

2009-2010 Child Protection Refresher Course

The refresher course consists of an online training course offered by the Department of Children and Family Services.  Although this course was designed for those who are mandated reporters, anyone may take it.  Our policy requires all individuals who work or volunteer with children to follow the same standards as Mandated Reporters.  Therefore, it is necessary for all of us to understand what a mandated reporter does.  This course is offered publicly and is a great source of information about our responsibilities to protect children from abuse.

Once complete you will be able to print a Certificate of Completion.  (not the DCFS Form)  You MUST turn the certificate into your Location Coordinator who will mail it to the Office of Child Protection.

It is not until this step is completed that you have finished the refresher course.
