SUMMER!
HAVE
FUN IN THE
SUN!
I cannot believe that this school year is over?! We
had a great year. Thank you to all of my students who
have worked so hard to accomplish so much. You have all
come a long way. I am very proud of all of you. Also,
thank you to all of the parents who have been so patient
with me and so willing to try out my new ideas for the 4th
grade. Also, thank you for being so willing to help your
children always do their best. Thanks to everyone else
here at Cathedral who have made first year of teaching
so great! I appreciate everything that everyone has done
to make me feel welcome here.

I know we will all be very busy this summer, but
please remember to keep working on your skills this
summer to prepare you for 5th grade! These
include: reading 20-30 minutes daily (newspapers,
chapter books, etc.), practicing flash cards of basic
facts (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division),
talking about science and social studies whenever you
get a chance in conversation, writing in a journal or
diary, practicing larger multiplication and division
problems.
